There is no doubt that the Hunter Valley attracts some of the best and most recognised performers and entertainers in the world. The concert season in the Hunter Valley predominantly runs from September/October through to March/April each year. This winter we've seen a flurry of activitiy with larger ampitheatres and concert venues popping up throughout the Hunter. Regular concerts include Bimbadgen Blues, Jazz in the Vines and Opera in the Vines and A Day on the Green. Add to this the ever-increasing number of international acts and special events and you'll find that the Hunter Valley is a pretty popular travel destination! ROSE SPECTACULAR
DATE: Until Sunday 13th November, 2011
Location: Hunter Valley Gardens, Broke Road Pokolbin Hunter Valley

DETAILS: Visitors to Hunter Valley Gardens throughout Rose Spectacular will be enlightened with interesting facts and learn the history of Roses as well as how to plant and grow roses. The event features a program of daily demonstrations and talks with by our highly knowledgeable and qualified Horticultural Team and the Hunter Regional Rose Society on weekends.

FOLK IN BROKE 2011
DATE: 4th - 6th November 2011
Location: Nightingale Vineyard, Broke Hunter Valley

DETAILS: 3 Days of Jazz, World, Blues, Folk, Dance, Workshops, markets, food, wine and beer. We are part of Folk in Broke Events Incorporated - a Not For Profit organisation with 3 key aims:

  • to provide live venue opportunities for quality performers in a diverse range of musical and entertainment disciplines 
  • to increase awareness of, and encourage visitors to, the Broke Fordwich Region of the Hunter Valley 
  • to facilitate the "good entertainment-good food-great wine" experience for visitors and residents alike

DESIGNER CARD MAKING DAY
DATE: Wednesday 16th November, 2011
Location: Taste of the Country Cafe - Hunter Valley Gardens Shopping VIllage

DETAILS: Enjoy an day out in the vineyards making a range of designer cards while enjoying morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea at Taste of the Country Cafe in HUnter Valley Gardens Village. An experienced Stamping Up consultant will provide you with various card making kits to complete all the cards during the days activities. Have a great time meeting other crafty ladies and meeting like minded people. Starting at 10.00am on Wednesday 16 November 2011 - the day finishes at 5pm. The cost is $50.00 each all inclusive. The theme for the cards this month is Christmas and New Year. See the attached booking form for upcoming dates.
